Let me explain. So often we live in chains. We live enslaved. Whether that is bound by our past, bound by what has been done to us, bound by what has been spoken over us, bound by our own thoughts, bound by addiction. So often we find ourselves living with the chains, and even getting used to them dragging around, instead of walking in true freedom in Christ. Instead of experiencing the boundless grace, mercy, and Love of the Savior. Chains that are gripping you can break. Freedom is not out of reach, it has your name on it. God’s plan for yours and my life is that we would walk in freedom. Not a freedom that we gained on our own. Not because we dug our self out of a grave and picked up our own self from a pit. Not a freedom that we earned by any means. It is for freedom that Christ has set us free. (Gal 5:1) Freedom isn’t free. Christ paid the price of our freedom on the cross. God wants us to live free, and after experiencing his freedom, we get the honor to use the scars that have kept us bound, as the mouthpiece and display of his grace and kindness. And though right now it may seem impossible, you too can walk in freedom. Though you may be Bound, you can experience the Boundless. Being Bound doesn’t have to define you! label you! prevent you no longer! You can walk in freedom! Through Jesus you can be free. The invitation to be free is addressed to you personally. You are not too far gone, or you have not been bound too long to experience freedom.
